How much of that time is spent actually mindfully using the platforms versus mindlessly scrolling like a zombie? Most people pacify themselves with social media, we are all guilty of it. But social media isn't evil; it isn't bad. You can use Social Media to enrich your life in various ways. You can make friends, put good into the world, or improve your mood. Using social media can make your life better, but it all depends on how you use it. Founder and CEO of The Julia Seraphine Agency and Social Media Expert

What Can Social Media Companies Really Do For the World?
TEDxLenoxVillage Countdown
It is hard to think that social media companies harm the environment. When people think of companies causing pollution, they usually think of big factories, or oil companies spilling oil. They don't think about Instagram and TikTok. Conceptualizing the danger that these social media titans pose to the earth involves a little nuance. People need to think about all the fuel that is consumed to run the server farms that power Facebook. They need to think about all of the CO2 that is being released by these server farms, or all of the waste that these operations create.
